Mexico is located in Central America. It is one of the largest Spanish speaking countries, being three times the size of Texas with thirty one states and one federal district.

The population of Mexico as of 2006, is 107,449,525, with an average per capita income of 14,200 US Dollars. Some exports that thrive in Mexico are, Oil, Electronics, Fruits, Aircraft, Processed food, Automobiles, and much more. Mexico Has the 11th largest economy in the world. Mexico is a Federal Republic, with Felipe Calderón as the president. The currency used in Mexico is the Mexican Peso (MXN) and one is worth about 0.826763 US Dollars (USD).


Food & Culture

Mexico has a rich culture with many different foods. Christianity and specifically Catholicism is mot commonly practiced, however, other indigenous religions still exist.
Here is the recipe for Albondigas Soup:
Ingredients:
Servings: 8
 
       Meatballs
 
     - 1/2 lb lean ground beef
     - 1/2 lb chorizo sausage, casing removed
       (not the fully cooked kind)
     - 1 egg, beaten
     - 2 garlic cloves, minced
     - 1/2 carrot, minced
     - 1/2 cup cooked rice
     - 1/2 cup cilantro leaf, chopped
     - 1/2 teaspoon salt
     - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
     - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
 
 
       Albondigas Soup
 
     - 6 cups chicken broth (I usually use nonfat and low sodium)
     - 1/2 cup onion, chopped
     - 3 stalks celery, cut in chunks
     - 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes (with nothing added)
     - 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
     - 1 teaspoon oregano
     - 1/2 cup cilantro
     - 1 large zucchini, sliced
     - salt
     - pepper
 
 
     Directions:
 
    1. Make the meatballs first: Combine everything and mix
       thoroughly.
    2. Form meatballs and roll between your palms (Otherwise,
       meatballs will fall apart in the soup).
    3. You should make around 20 to 24 meatballs, set aside.
    4. Combine chicken broth, onion, celery, tomatoes and their
       liquid, cumin, oregano and cilantro leaves in a large pot.
    5. Bring to broil, and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
    6. Drop meatballs in the soup (Make sure the soup is slightly
       boiling, the meatballs need to be cooked quickly).
    7. Return to simmer and cook another 10 minutes.
    8. Add zucchini and cook 10 minutes.
    9. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
   10. You could top the soup with cooked rice, or just by
       itself.

The people of Mexico are very interesting. Mexico is the most populous Spanish speaking Country, and around 76% of people live in urban areas. Mexico's people are extremely diverse. The largest group is the Mestizos, or mixed Spanish-Native people, followed, in size, by 56
indigenous peoples.The national language is Spanish, but many indigenous languages still exist including Algic, Creole, Hokan, Huavean, Maya, Tarascan, Tononacan, Uto-Aztecan, Oto-Manguean, and many more. There are many famous Mexicans, and Anthony Quinn is one of them. Quinn is a two time Academy Award winner, a painter and writer.His signature role is as Zobra, in Zobra the Greek is widely known. His long career of sixty years includes roles such as Lawrence of Arabia, Barabbas, Mohammad, Messenger of God, Requiem for a Heavyweight, and others.

Vacationing
Many People like to visit Mexico because of the beautiful beaches,
the hospitable hotels, and the vibrant vistas. One popular tourist destination is The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve.It Is known for Being a sanctuary for Monarch Butterflies and being the starting place for their yearly spring Migration which last over 200 square miles. It was founded as a World Heritage Site in 2008 by The UNESCO.

A beautiful way to spend your day in Mexico is to take a walking tour through the capital, Mexico City. Your day starts as you arrive El Castillo de Chapultepec at 9am. Then depart at 10:30. Take a scenic walk to the Monument to the Revolution and spend a good half an hour there, then continue your journey at 11. Arrive at the Monument of Heroes at around 11:15 and look around the famous monument for roughly half an hour to 45 minutes, then have a nice lunch at a street vendor, and continue your journey. Arrive at La Casa de los Azulejos and spend 1:30 there looking at the artifacts. Then at 2pm, hail a cab and make your way over to The Palace of Mineria. Take as much time as need. This should complete your magical day In Mexico.
